Surge has more to do with the BOV then the actual turbo if I am not mistaken. Is yours adjustable? If it is, Try loosening it up in tiny increments until it doesn't surge badly anymore.

well you can by turbo's with anti surge... hahaha... or surge protection.
but yeah it has a little to do with the BOV.
I have been working with it little by little.
